Christmas

I am not a huge Christmas person, its just never been my favorite holiday. I know that sounds awful and like a scrooge but I just think we all get so caught up in all the details of decorating and presents that we forget what Christmas is about. My family has always had a pretty simple Christmas but this year we went to Scotty's house and they love Christmas! All the siblings and their kids were in town and everyone spent the night Christmas Eve. All 22 people. It was a different Christmas for me, much louder than I am used to with my small family, but watching 11 kids open presents and put out cookies for Santa was so much fun. California was great, we played with cute nieces and nephews, ate lots of food and got to be a little cold for a change. I missed home a few times, there was new traditions and new family to share them with. But we get to make new holiday traditions. We had a great first married Christmas together, at the end of the day I don't care about the gifts or the traditions (even though Scotty did an awesome job with my gifts) all I care about is that I got to spend some quality time with Scotty and family. Hope everyone has a great new year!!
