~Two IV's after entire days of throwing up
~No energy whatsoever
~ A complete hatred of ANY food
~Struggling to keep up with work and school
~Headaches from the medicine that helps the nausea (I would rather have the headaches)
~My stomach waking up at 4am but my body refusing to get out of bed (making me sick all morning)
~Realizing how dirty my bathroom is from spending so much time on the floor
~Refusal to eat anything sweet even chocolate (I have turned down some of my favorite deserts! Even gluten free cupcakes in San Diego)
~3 months of basically no cooking or dishes....I absolutely hate the smells
So it has been an adventure...a lot harder than I thought. And even though it has been some of the hardest three months of my life (I feel like a complete wimp saying that!) I could not be happier. If I could go back now and decide to wait to get pregnant, I wouldn't do it. I loved seeing Scotty's face when he saw our baby jump around the screen at our doctors appointment. I love the days when I feel good and I can actually get excited about a baby coming in 6 months.
Not our baby but just to give you an idea, its starting to be more human! |
Now an update of our life plan....
Scotty really likes his job doing construction, and building a house is something he has always wanted to learn. So he is going to keep working at Evans for at least the next year. Moving to Huntington Beach was always kind of the plan after graduation but we just haven't felt good about it lately. We feel like we need to stay here. It feels right for us right now. I might try and do grad school next year and we aren't ruling out all options yet so if an amazing job opportunity comes up for Scotty then we will take it. Obviously this plan can change but we are looking for houses in Laie and Hauula and hoping something affordable will come up and we can start the next step in our lives!
Sorry you've been so sick Kiley! That sounds miserable, but it will be so worth it. You guys are going to have the cutest baby!
ReplyDeleteugh, I don't miss those first trimester days at all. It gets better! and it really is worth it :D
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon! I can still remember those days. Once when I was sick I told tim I was craving a steak and he said "no way are u throwing up a 10 dollar steak, you're getting a 99 cent cheeseburger! Doesn't that just sound like your uncle Tim?
ReplyDeletethat is hilarious about tim and the cheeseburger!
ReplyDeleteit is miserable and it is worth it!
yeah for staying, grandma needs her baby!!!
haha that's Tim! I do understand though, I don't even like to think about how much money I have wasted, I might as well have just thrown the food right into the toilet! But what else can we do?! Hope you guys are doing great in Brazil!
