My dad is awesome. He just finished the Iron Man triathlon in Cozumel Mexico. For those of you who don't know how intense an Iron Man is let me tell you, first its a swim of 2.4 miles, then a bike ride of 112 miles finished off by a marathon of 26.2 miles. Not exactly my idea of fun but my dad lives for this kind of stuff. We kept track of him all day online and cheered for him from here. I know he could hear me pushing him to keep going. He finished in 14 hours and about 56 minutes, a very very long day. My dad an I used to run together when I was younger and whenever I would get tired he would talk about his fantasies of finishing the Iron Man and listening to the crowd and my mom cheer for him. We used to talk about being a father daughter team, obviously I don't do triathlons now or even run the way he does but he knows how proud I am of him for accomplishing his goal.
